Browsing data of users who visit the website www.aionsentia.com (the “Website”), as outlined in the Website’s Privacy Policy.
This Cookie Policy should be read in conjunction with Aion Sentia’s Privacy Policy, available at the following link: https://aionsentia.com/privacy-policy-en/

WHAT ARE COOKIES
Cookies are data created by a server and stored as text files on the hard drive of a computer or on any device used by the user to access the Internet (such as smartphones or tablets). They are used to collect information about the user’s navigation on the Website.
Cookies can be stored permanently on the user’s device and have a variable duration (so-called persistent cookies), or they can disappear when the browser is closed or have a limited duration (so-called session cookies).
Cookies serve different purposes, have different characteristics, and can be used either by the owner of the Website you are visiting (so-called first-party cookies) or by third parties (so-called third-party cookies).

WHAT COOKIES THE WEBSITE USES AND FOR WHAT PURPOSES

When the user visits the Website, the following Cookies might be installed:

Technical Cookies, which are related to activities strictly necessary for the operation of the Website. Specifically, these cookies include:

  1. Session/navigation cookies:  The use of so-called session cookies (which are not stored persistently on the user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to enable the safe and efficient exploration of the Website and its applications. The so-called session cookies used in the Website avoid the use of other computer techniques, potentially prejudicial to the privacy of users’ browsing, and do not allow the acquisition of personal identification data of the user. They do not require your consent.
  2. Persistent cookies: persistent cookies remain on the device even after leaving the Website, until the user deletes them or until their expiration date is reached. The Website creates this type of cookie and stores it on the device so that it can be read when the user visits the Website again. This makes it possible, for example, to find again, even on subsequent visits to the Website, the set preferences (e.g. storage of registered user…). They do not require your consent.

Analytics cookies are installed to collect aggregate information primarily for statistical purposes (such as the amount of time spent on a web page, the number of visitors to the Website, etc.).

  1. First-party analytics cookies. These cookies are comparable to the technical cookies, as they are installed directly by the Website you are visiting to improve its usability. The use of such cookies requires your consent.
  1. Third-party analytics cookies. These cookies are created and installed by third parties to analyze user browsing behavior, generate visit statistics, improve the quality of content offered, suggest similar products, and possibly display targeted advertising on web pages.

The system used is Google Analytics, a web analytics platform provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect aggregated information on how users interact with the Website. The configuration adopted complies with current data protection regulations, as users’ IP addresses are anonymized (by masking at least the last octet), and the data is not shared with third parties. The information generated by the cookies about how the user uses the Website (including the anonymized IP address) is transmitted and stored on local servers and is not subject to transfer to third countries.

Google Analytics uses this information solely to analyze the use of the website, to compile aggregated reports on the activities carried out by users (including the referring search engines, the keywords used, the display language, and the most visited pages).

The collected data is stored for a maximum of 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted.

Users may choose to disable cookies at any time by selecting the appropriate settings in their browser; however, doing so may limit or prevent access to certain features of the Website. The use of such cookies requires your consent.

Profiling cookies. These cookies are used to track the user’s browsing across the internet and to create profiles based on, for example, their preferences, habits, and choices. These cookies can also allow advertising messages to be sent to the user’s terminal that align with the preferences previously expressed during online browsing.

  1. First-party profiling cookies. These cookies are used and installed by the Company to collect information about the user’s browsing behavior in order to present relevant search results and content feeds tailored to their interests. This means they are also used to limit the number of times the user views certain content. While browsing the Website, profiling cookies confirm that the user is viewing news and search results suggested by AION Sentia, displaying content that may be of interest based on the user’s previous visits. These cookies are persistent but remain on the user’s device only for a limited time. The use of such cookies requires your consent.
  1. Third-party profiling cookies. These cookies are used and installed by third parties to track the user’s online activity and build profiles based on their preferences, habits, and choices. AION SENTIA may use these cookies for third-party advertising purposes. The use of such cookies also requires your consent. Details of the cookies used are provided in the banner.

COOKIE PREFERENCE MANAGEMENT
Technical cookies do not require user consent and are therefore automatically installed when accessing the Website, except as specified below.
Other cookies can be enabled or disabled by the user, either by category or individually, through the short information notice displayed when the user visits the Website.
Users can update their cookie preferences at any time via the consent banner available on the Website.

HOW TO MANAGE AND THE COOKIE SETTINGS
Besides using the consent banner on the Website, users can set up their browser to accept, reject, or notify them whenever a cookie is sent. They can also delete any cookies already stored on their device. They can therefore manage their cookie preferences directly within their browser and prevent, for example, third parties from installing cookies.
Through their browser settings, users can finally delete cookies that were previously installed, including those where consent for cookie installation on this Website may have been saved.
Users can also remove previously stored cookies via their browser settings, including any consents they may have given for cookies on this Website. The methods for managing cookies vary depending on the browser used; for more details, please refer to the support or help section of your specific browser.
Please note that disabling all cookies might impact the proper functioning of some parts of the Website.

DO NOT TRACK (DNT)
Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that allows users to signal their preference not to be tracked for profiling or analytics purposes.
While this mechanism is not universally recognized as a valid means of expressing consent, this Website, where technically possible, commits to honoring such a preference by refraining from processing personal data or installing non-essential cookies when the DNT signal has been enabled and detected from the user’s browser. Users can, in any case, manage their cookie and tracking preferences at any time through the cookie banner and this Cookie Policy.

Browsing data is processed by the Controller during navigation through the installation of technical cookies, which are necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the Website.

Users may choose whether or not to give their consent to the installation of analytics and profiling cookies. Their personal data will only be processed through these cookies if they have expressly provided their consent, as outlined above.

Browsing data may be communicated to third parties acting as data controllers. These may include, by way of example, supervisory and regulatory authorities, and in general, any public or private entities legally entitled to request such data. In the event of transfers to third parties established outside the ADGM, such transfers will be carried out in accordance with the DP Regulations 2021.

Browsing data may also be processed, on behalf of the Data Controller, by external parties designated as data processors (in compliance with the DP Regulations 2021), who perform specific tasks on behalf of the Controller. These may include companies providing management and/or maintenance services for the Website, as well as providers of IT systems and telecommunications network management services.

Browsing data may be processed by the employees and/or collaborators of the Data Controller and/or the Data Processor deputed to the pursuit of the above purposes, who have been expressly authorized to the processing and who have received appropriate operational instructions.

The Data Controller is based in the United Arab Emirates, within the ADGM jurisdiction, and processes personal data in compliance with the Data Protection Regulations 2021.

If personal data collected through cookies is transferred outside the ADGM jurisdiction, such transfers will be made only to countries deemed to provide an adequate level of data protection under the DP Regulations 2021, or by implementing appropriate safeguards (including standard contractual clauses and impact assessments) to ensure an adequate level of protection for users’ personal data.

For further information on how personal data is transferred, please consult the Aion Sentia Privacy Policy.

By contacting the Data Controller at compliance@aionsentia.com, users may exercise their rights under the DP Regulations 2021, including the right to access their personal data, request its rectification or erasure, obtain restriction of processing in the cases provided by applicable law, and object to processing based on reasons related to their particular situation.

Data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if they believe that the processing of their personal data violates the provisions of the DP Regulations 2021.

COOKIE POLICY UPDATE
Aion Sentia reserves the right to update this Cookie Policy to reflect regulatory and technological changes or align with business needs. Any changes will be published on the Website along with the date of such updates.
